First, you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire about yourself and any children of your household. Once completed, you can start immediately by clicking the “Diary” button. Enter in what occasions you have eaten or drank and begin to declare.
We have already populated your Diary with all of the food and drink products that you have scanned recently. For example, Heinz Baked Beans or Kellogg's Cornflakes scanned by your household will be available to select from 'In Your Cupboard'.
You will find the search function at the top of every page you visit. You can search for either:
- Ingredients: "Ground meat" or "Tomatoes" or "Spices“.
- Food items: “Heinz baked beans” or “Kellogg's corn flakes”.
- Drinks: "Cola" or "Tea" or "Tap water“.
You can select "Search all categories" or "Search in selected categories" to find products more quickly.
Notes: If you can't find the correct item in the list, you may need to make your search more specific (e.g. “Kellogg's Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes”).

Every time you enter a meal, all the products and ingredients you have used will automatically be saved in "Favorite products". You can select these items by clicking on the “Your favorite products” button on the left menu.
You can browse the complete list by clicking on the 'Full Product List' button on the left side.
You can create scratch cooked dishes with all the ingredients you used (such as a pasta dish or a sandwich) using the following instructions:
- Click on 'Create dish'.
- Enter the name of the dish you made. You can type it in if it doesn’t appear in the list.
- Click on 'Add dish'.
Homemade meals are scratch cooked meals, meaning they are prepared at home using cupboard ingredients. For example, "lasagne" is a dish that involves the preparation of bechamel sauce and other ingredients.
Ready meals are products that, for speed, have been purchased pre-prepared and which simply require cooking and assembling. This also applies to prepared foods (e.g. sandwiches or salads) bought ready-to-eat.
Delivery or takeaway are meals purchased at a restaurant or similar, which can be eaten both at home and away.
Above your diary you will find a large pot containing all the food and drinks you have selected for the occasion you are declaring.
All ingredients used in the meals will be listed on the “Pot” section. If you want to remove some of the ingredients, click the X next to the item, or click on the “Cancel Dish” button to cancel the dish / meal.
Do not use the back or forward buttons on your internet browser window, use the diary buttons to move from one question to another.
Meat, fish, fruit and vegetables are not classified by store or brand. For example, you don't need to search for "Coop minced meat", just "minced meat".
You can enter items purchased from your local butcher / retailer or any product that was not purchased from a supermarket by simply adding "Other" next to the product you are looking for. For example, if you are looking for sausages purchased from the local butcher, you would search for "Other sausages" and select that item.
Food prepared at home but consumed elsewhere, for example, a sandwich prepared at home and eaten at work or school is a lunch box.
Yes, we need information about sauces, vinegars, and all other condiments such as salt, mustard or pickles that are used to add flavor or to cook foods.
- Remember to include all ingredients used in your meals, such as herbs and spices, water, salt, seasonings, and so on.
- Remember not to use the back or forward buttons on the internet browser window, but to use the diary buttons to move from one question to another.
